3 things you can do to encourage sustainable aquaculture:
1. Learn about the issues around farm-raised fish, including their feed, genetically modified fish, etc.
2. If you eat farmed seafood, choose a brand/provider that uses ecologically sound practices that do not harm wild sea life.
3. When eating in a restaurant, ask the wait staff or chef for details on any farmed seafood included in their menu.
