Myra Marino – Staff Member
I’m in charge of financing, bookkeeping, overseeing operations, and providing primary administrative support for Blue Ocean Institute staff. With over 20 years of experience in office management, I have managed several legal employment firms and the Living Oceans Program at the National Audubon Society, where I earned the Ace Award for superb office management skills.
I’m one of the founding members of Blue Ocean Institute and helped form the organization in 2003 with Carl Safina and Mercédès Lee. I currently live on the east end of Long Island in a newly rented, very romantic waterfront cottage. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, dancing, fishing, and being on the water as much as possible. I also love spending time with my wonderful, world traveling daughter, Marlene.
