Wherever we live, it is likely that we have been touched by the beauty, power, and mystery of the world’s ocean. Sea Stories, Blue Ocean Institute’s on-line journal at www.seastories.org provides a platform for graceful and grace-filled expressions about the sea.
Sea Stories nurtures curiosity, creativity, and concern about the world’s ocean through literary and artistic expression. Our writing ideas and tips help teachers bring nature writing and ocean conservation into the classroom at all educational levels. Whether you’re a beachcomber, scientist, fisherman, seafood lover, or student, we hope you will dive in to Sea Stories.
Please note: As of March 2009, the publication of Sea Stories has been temporarily suspended due to funding constraints. All previous issues remain online; we invite you to read them, and we hope to begin publishing Sea Stories again soon.
