Some problems exist with this species' status or catch methods, or information is insufficient for evaluating. Shrimp, Pink – U.S. California and Washington, British Columbia Canada

This coldwater species is found from California to Alaska and changes sex from male to female after its first year of life.

Little is known about the population of pink shrimp in the U.S., while in British Columbia, Canada the population is healthy.

These shrimp are caught with trawls, which can cause damage to the sand and mud habitats that this species live in. The major concern in the pink shrimp fishery is the bycatch of eulachon, an endangered species
